And so began a decade of hushed conversations and feelings of shame for me that surrounded menstruation. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ And although the topic of periods has become more mainstream in recent years, it's still taboo. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ One area where it’s particularly prevalent is in the world of sport and menstruation. Trainers who don’t give enough consideration to a client’s ovulation. Misconceptions and lack of research into the effect periods have on physical workouts.
