Tohtori Housen roolista Golden Globella palkittu Hugh Laurie täyttää tänään 60 vuotta.
Laurie nousi maineeseen sarjojen kuten Musta kyy ja Kyllä Jeeves hoitaa ansiosta.
Laurie näytteli nimiosaa amerikkalaisessa lääkärisarjassa House (2004–2012). Myös brittiläis-yhdysvaltalaisessa draamasarjassa Yövahti Lauriella oli merkittävä rooli.
Laurie on myös kirjailija ja muusikko.
Laurie sai oman tähden Hollywood Walk of Fame -kävelykadulle vuonna 2016.
