The Prodigyn laulaja Keith Flintin (49) kuolema on järkyttänyt tänään musiikkimaailmaa meillä ja muualla.
Myös Darude on lisännyt someen muistoja ja kunnioitusta edesmennyttä laulajaa kohtaan.
Darude kertoo tavanneensa Flintin vuonna 2015, jolloin The Prodigy ja Darude esiintyivät Future Music Festivalin keikoilla Australiassa.
”Deeply saddened by hearing about Keith Flint’s passing. While my music doesn’t exactly sound like the great Prodigy’s, their influence definitely strengthened my love for dance music with the infectious energy of both the dirty beats and his gnarly voice!
I saw them in concert in Finland some 20 years ago and then in 2015 got to share the stage with the band in 5 cities at Future Music Festival shows in Australia. They still had the same energy, grime and filth oozing. At an artist after party I had the pleasure of talking to Keith, and to thank him and talk some “shop”, too. He was polite, courteous and down to earth and I was excited to meet him as not just a fan but a peer now, too. The music world just lost a pioneer and a huge ball of wonderful stage rage”.
