Ben Affleck on Entertainment Weeklyn haastattelussa myöntänyt että Daredevil-leffa vuodelta 2003 oli harhalaukaus – ”didn’t work, at all”.
Affleckin tähdittämä Marvel-versiointi sai ristiriitaisia arvioita mutta synnytti spin-off -leffan Elektra, jonka pääosassa nähtiin Affleckin tuleva ex, Jennifer Garner.
”If I wanted to go viral I would be less polite. That was before people realised you could make these movies and make them well. There was a cynical sense of ’Put a red leather outfit on a guy, have him run around, hunt some bad guys, and cash the check”.
Affleck nähdään tulevassa Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice –leffassa. Tällä kertaa palikat ovat järjestyksessä. ”They really learned how to make this stuff work”.
